Alberta has enjoyed a long-standing reputation for being a center of aerospace and aviation activity around the world.

Alberta offers everything from; commercial & military aircraft repair, overhaul, design
modification and manufacturing, to unmanned vehicle technology, advanced electronics commmunications, to corporate & commercial aviation, flying training and more.

These industries have had a substantial impact on Alberta’s economy in recent years. While demand for the products and services offered by Alberta aerospace and aviation companies is increasing on a global basis, competition is on the rise as well.

Aviation Alberta in partnership with Alberta Finance & Enterprise along with Western Economic Diversification will undertake a number of initiatives in the coming year to move Alberta’s industry toward a more globally competitive position.

Aviation Alberta wishes to announce the commencement of a major project in the coming weeks, which will place Alberta’s aerospace and aviation industries in full view of the world marketplace.

Considerable resources have been dedicated to developing a

        “Comprehensive Alberta Aerospace/Aviation Database”

which will be hosted on the “Aviation Alberta Website”.

Virtually all Alberta companies and organizations, involved one way or another, in the aerospace & aviation business will be profiled in one of these industry categories.

In May you will receive an invitation, via email, offering your organization an opportunity to participate in this project by completing a profile on the products, services that your company provides.

Detailed instructions on how to complete the electronic company profile form will also be provided along with a password allowing access to the Alberta Aerospace & Aviation Database. This self-registration process will allow organizations to complete the listing in a timely, unhurried and accurate manner. The other advantage of having your organization profile on line is that it can be updated on a regular basis insuring that visitors to the site will have up-to-date information. Listing a company or organization profile on the database will be free of charge with no cost to the subscriber.

The Alberta Aerospace & Aviation Database will be on line by the end of July 2008. As a single point reference, the “Alberta Aerospace & Aviation Database” will offer excellent exposure for all Alberta aerospace and aviation-based organizations in the global marketplace. Visitors to the site will be able to access your company’s profile by word search, company name or industry category.

If you have any questions or concerns, we would be pleased to address them at your convenience.
